ENROLLMENT FOR THE MARCH - MAY TRAINING IS FULL, BUT THERE'S STILL ROOM IN THE "FLEX-PACED" PROGRAM 〰️

Dear Ones -

We find ourselves at a point in our evolution where we are being called to look not only at new modalities of healing to optimize our full potential, but also new communities to grow with.

Not just any new modality or community will do, however.

We need new technologies that not only allow our brains to rapidly adapt and process these massive changes of reality, but also unlock creativity for new possibilities to ultimately THRIVE in this New World.

And, we need new communities that hold a safe space to explore these possibilities with.

With this program, we present solutions that don’t require a pill and are easily accessible to anyone. All you need is an open mind, heart, and a desire to open to your infinite potential.

Welcome to the NeuroSomatic Flow Community!

Aloha,
Dr. Jinju & Nova Dasalla
Founders, NaiAsa Institute

PROGRAM OVERVIEW & PURPOSE FOR LEVELS 1 - 3

This program is now offered in three parts:

The Dance by Eduardo Rodriguez Calzado

LEVEL 1: FOUNDATIONS

NEXT TRAINING BEGINS: March 13TH, 2024 | 6 P.M. PST | more details below

ENROLLMENT FOR THE MARCH-MAY TRAINING IS CLOSED, BUT THERE’S STILL ROOM IN OUR “FLEX-PACED” PROGRAM . . . . LEARN MORE HERE.

The primary purpose of Level 1 is FLOW EMBODIMENT.

The focus of the foundations course is on flow fluency, flow state principles, and self-directed neuroplasticity. Learn the language and experience the power of NeuroSomatic Flow™ for causing breakthroughs in personal healing and psychological resilience. Begin to explore the underlying neuroscience of transformational and somatic learning. The Foundations course is open to anyone interested in enriching their personal practice with this medicine. There are no teaching requirements in Level 1.

LEVELS 2 & 3: TEACHER & COACH TRAINING

(Prerequisite: Level 1)

NEXT TRAINING BEGINS: TBD

The purpose of Levels 2 and 3 is to train and educate individuals to TEACH AND SHARE the Medicine of Flow professionally, in any environment, from clinical to corporate, or even at home with your children.

If you are considering these levels, then you likely are already familiar with the powerful therapeutic benefits of “flow art practices,” including neuro-protective effects and relief of depression and anxiety. The “flow arts” is a rapidly emerging field proving to be one of the most powerful transformative and healing somatic practices. The problem, until now, is the lack of evidence- and scholarly-based training for it to work in environments other than circus, festival or other, more casual scenes.

We have held the vision for years to help bring the medicine of flow into those environments that could benefit the most like hospitals, mental health institutes, research institutes, schools, universities, government departments, the military, and corporate offices. As we all know, it is difficult to bring new paradigms of learning and healing (especially play-based) into these environments without being presented in a credible way. Usually this means . . . . based in science.

We’re thrilled to present the first training of its kind (that we are aware of) to help solve this problem and support professionals like you spread this medicine. If you already have a coaching or therapy practice, this training will allow you to include flow movement designed to unlock and re-wire areas in the brain and body where traditional coaching/therapy do not focus. If you are a yoga, fitness, or dance teacher, this program will make your offerings more dynamic and transformative. As a healing modality that nurtures the inner child, NeuroSomatic Flow™ offers professionals a powerful addition to their current practice.

Not interested in teaching? That’s OK.

The Foundations course will help you to deepen your personal practice. You’ll walk away with a solid home practice, along with profound new perspectives on your own health and life.

Ultimately, the entire NSF program is designed to help you help yourself and others let go of limiting perceptions, come home to who they truly, and create the joyful life that is their birthright.

So excited for all the possibilities for the planet and I feel so privileged to get to join you on this journey. I have had many teachers but it is so rare that I have found one who can teach the science and healing arts together in a cohesive experience. Feeling blessed to learn and embody this spiritual technology with you.
— Miranda, San Diego | 2020 NSF Teacher Training Graduate

ENROLLMENT FOR THE MARCH-MAY TRAINING IS CLOSED, BUT THERE’S STILL ROOM IN OUR “FLEX-PACED” PROGRAM!

If you’re not willing to dance, shimmy and play, while learning the “neuroscience of transformation”,
then this program may not be for you.

THE FLOW ARTS

It’s truly amazing to think of the rapidly rising number of lives being transformed by yoga, dance and the flow arts.

It is an exciting time to be living. People are so ready to learn how play again and to explore new dimensions of BE-ing.

Yogis are ready to get off the mat, dancers are ready to get on the mat, and flow artists all over the world are paving a new path in somatic healing in the most joyful, creative ways possible.

For some of you, poi and/or hoop-dancing, may not be your primary inspiration for doing this program. Be assured that poi and/or hoop-dancing are NOT the primary focus in this program. However, we urge and encourage you to bring this into your personal practice. Studies, widely available on the web, have shown that just five minutes a day of this kind of “juggling” or “dance” movement will increase brain mass, synaptic connectivity, reduce anxiety, and help overcome depression.

SO WHY FLOW ARTS?

This rapidly emerging field referred to as the “flow arts” is, at its deepest core, a form of yoga, a path of inquiry.

As a transformative and healing somatic practice, a rising number of studies have revealed therapeutic benefits, powerfully restoring and retraining the nervous system. It’s not only an art to unify, bridge, and harmonize various aspects of oneself, but also to weave together many different disciplines into a singular-threaded, creative expression. These disciplines can include meditation, dance, yoga, simple play, and performance; in addition, it often includes moving with an object such as poi, staff, or the hula-hoop. This movement art requires learning to move gracefully in relationship to oneself, others, and the natural cycles and rhythms universal to life.

You may be thinking to yourself, “There are so many activities in the world that have us learn to move, think and feel in transformative new ways . . . . why flow arts?”

Good question.

What is unique about the Flow Arts is that it bridges so many different practices and modalities to maximize engagement of as many somatic sensory systems as possible.

You will learn why this is important in alchemizing our minds, bodies, and emotions, later in this program.

WHAT IS NEUROSOMATIC FLOW™ (NSF)?

Crafted by a neuroscientist from Penn State's College of Medicine, NSF is a unique, somatic healing modality based not only on reclaiming the wisdom of the body, but also on creating new ways of being through new patterns of moving. Through this simple yet powerful practice, with as little as five minutes a day, the Central Nervous System can be re-wired, while simultaneously releasing limiting beliefs and trauma in a safe and joyful way.

THINK BRAIN TRAINING, FLOW STATE, REWIRING, MEDITATION, SOMATIC HEALING, SENSORY AWAKENING, PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION, AND EMBODIED PLAY . . . . ALL-IN-ONE!

NSF utilizes flow arts props such as poi and the hula hoop (and beyond) to bring the individual into a whole brain functioning state of flow, accelerating the rewiring process - which is, as you might imagine, profound for those reinventing themselves.

Other benefits of this practice include long-lasting, protective effects on the brain, improved concentration, coordination, grace, and a way to easily access creativity and inspiration, also crucial to navigating new realms.

This has awoken something in me that had been dormant for awhile... And I wanted to emphasize how amazingly divinely intelligently you are weaving all the ancient wisdom, neuroscience, and flow magic together. I see the power of this medicine. The world is soooo in need of these gifts and of YOU, Dr. Jinju!

* ALL DATES, PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS, CURRICULA, PRICING, REQUIREMENTS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PROGRAM ARE SUBJECT TO REASONABLE CHANGE AT ANY TIME.

As in all our trainings and journeys, the concepts of the program are layered within the 5 elements:

AIR (Science) - This element invites theoretical study and curious exploration to cultivate wisdom, inspiration, knowledge, intention, and expanded perspectives for what is possible. Trainees will devote scholarly study of the neuroscience, philosophy, and language of Flow.

From: http://orderjoynow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/5es.png

EARTH (Soma) -  The Earth element roots the formless into form, and honors physical experience through all sensory systems as a crucial way of “knowing” and “discerning.” Candidates will learn how to create safe and strong containers for healing and embodied transformation to occur for themselves and for their clients.

WATER (Sacred FeminYinity) - According to many cultures, water is considered the most feminine/yin and the most powerful of all the elements. Water rules the realm of emotionality, sensuality, relationships, and the art of flow. Research has confirmed that relationship is more important for the healing journey than any techniques used by a therapist, psychologist, physician, counselor, and beyond. (This is also the component that seems to get the least attention in most Western-based, health professional training programs.) Because NaiAsa NeuroSomatic Flow Teachers (and Coaches) are also healers, candidates will cultivate those essential qualities of presence, playfulness, compassion, and beyond to cultivate nurturing relationships that naturally propel clients forward in a balanced, and organic, way.

FIRE (Soul Expression) -  Fire is the element that ignites action and transformation. NaiAsa NeuroSomatic Flow Teachers (and Coaches) are skilled in and committed to having their students/clients connect with their practice in a meaningful way, that is, in a way that rekindles and awakens the Inner Fire. And yes, for those wondering, fire-dancing can definitely play a significant part in this journey, and while not a part of this program, it is a part of the retreat (depending on the pandemic) and the final coaching module.

SPIRIT (Seva) - Seva is the sanskrit word for “selfless service.” Seva is also an important key to sustainability in the new world. Conscious surrender and REST are the final vital parts of every learning cycle and necessary for integration and restoration. NaiAsa Institute has designed this training program (and all programs) to include both Seva and relaxed integration time as essential elements of not only the training, but also the bigger vision of NaiAsa.

FAQ

How much time do I need to invest in these programs?
For all levels, please anticipate 4-6 hours/week.

Will I be required to attend any live calls?
Yes, certain calls will be required. In case you can't attend a live call, then they can be made up by watching the recording and offering a reflection in our learning platform. NOTE: this is a training where you’ll be certified provided you complete all assignments. We’ll be sharing the proposed schedule soon to be sure to check this website (subject to change).

Is this for women only? No, NeuroSomatic Flow is for all genders, ages, body types, etc. While we do have many programs designed specifically for women, this is not one of them.

Must I know how to dance? Not at all . . . . just a desire to move your body in new ways to promote new ways of being.

Whom is this program NOT for? This training is NOT for those focused exclusively on performance or circus arts.

How is it different from other flow trainings? While this program utilizes poi, and some hoop, as vehicles for the practice, the focus is on the body (somatic), and therefore taught as an embodiment practice. The trainee will learn the foundations of universal patterns of flow that can be applied to meditations, movements, and props beyond the poi.

In addition, students will need to work hard, study hard, and be teachable in order to achieve certification. (This will not be accomplished by just paying tuition!)

How is NeuroSomatic Flow™ different from NaiAsana Yoga™? The major difference is the intended purpose behind the two practices. NeuroSomatic Flow refers to the methodology in utilizing specific flow movements and techniques to rewire and repattern the brain and nervous system for the purpose of healing and personal transformation. NaiAsana is a style of yoga that celebrates, honors and invokes the Divine Feminine, in her many expressions, across cultures and across time. NaiAsana often weaves in wisdom and mythology (e.g., Pele Namaskar). NaiAsana almost always incorporates NeuroSomatic Flow, but NeuroSomatic Flow doesn’t necessarily incorporate NaiAsana.

What are the NeuroSomatic Flow™ Techniques? NSFTs are trauma-informed, prescriptive, flow movements using poi for the re-patterning of specific, limiting beliefs and emotional states.

Will these hours count as Continuing Education with any organizations?

Yes, possibly up to 30 hours could count towards CE requirements for Yoga Alliance.
