The name Saraswati comes from "Saras" meaning flow and "wati" meaning a woman. She is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, wisdom, art, music, and FLOW.

For thousands of years, she has been invoked to remind us that knowledge and wisdom lives not only in the mind but also in the heart and in the soul.

Here in Bali, every 210 days, the Balinese dedicate time to ceremonially honor their respective tools and materials that help them acquire knowledge. School students honor their books, while artists and musicians worship their respective instruments.

Saraswati challenges us to keep expanding our minds beyond that place where we think we “know” to simply allow knowledge and wisdom to flow, through, around, above, below.
